Park Si Hoo’s defense team criticize police

Park Si Hoo, currently under suspicion of sexual assault, seems to have been fed up with the recent ballooning of his case. His defense team recently released an official press release that says, in brief, that the police in charge of the case haven’t been doing their job.

The criticism follows reports earlier today that the Seoul Seobu Police Department would be transferring Park Si Hoo’s case to the District Attorney’s Office with a ‘guilty’ recommendation, along with his junior, ‘K’.
Pureumae, the firm behind Park Si Hoo’s defense team, explained that the police did not factor into account the Kakao Talk chat logs when making their decision.
“The girl ‘A’ behind the prosecution claimed that she was unconscious between the hours of 1:10 AM and 1:00 PM on February 15. However, according to A’s Kakao history, during that time period there were 38 messages between her mother, close friend ‘B’, and a man who will remain anonymous,”Pureumae explained in the press release. “Out of those messages, 24 were sent by ‘A’. Therefore, it is a fact that she has lied about her claim of being unconscious.
“If A’s claims were true, she would have sent messages for help immediately following her assault. However, she stayed at the apartment for 2-3 hours following the attack and left the apartment only at 2:40 PM. She also sent messages from the apartment to her friends and relatives,” they continued.
“Therefore, it goes against common sense that A was forced to have sexual relations. The defense had submitted the Kakao chat logs to the Seobu Police Department on March 29,” Pureumae said.“However, they are maintaining their original position without taking into account the evidence. The defense wishes for the department to issue a recommendation that falls in line with simple common sense.”
‘A’ filed a lawsuit on February 14th alleging sexual assault after she lost consciousness, to which Park Si Hoo filed a counter-lawsuit dismissing her claims.
