J-Pop and K-Pop starlet BoA Kwon is set to hit the big screen, in 3D no less, in Make Your Move 3D. The film, helmed by Duane Adler, best known for Save The Last Dance and Step Up is an independent dance film inspired by Romeo and Juliet.
The film is also notable for starring ballroom dancer Derek Hough, who was noted as taking Season 12 of the series off in order to film the movie. Yunho from TVXQ was also on board to make a cameo appearance, the movies soundtrack will feature songs from popular K-Pop groups TVXQ and Girls Generation.
Originally shot in New York City and Toronto in early 2011, the film encountered numerous unexplained delays and promises to be a train-wreck as its limited release schedule and promises of “3D” experience rarely bodes well as a sign of quality in the film industry. Make Your Move 3D is scheduled for limited release in Norway, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Denmark this summer. Release dates for other countries have not yet been announced.
